this is my camel and part of our camel train. note how young this boy is. i always seem to have the youngest child in charge of my animal - they must have thought i was good with animals. he kept giving me the reigns which i didn.t really like to start with, but got used to.
the camel was really quite comfortable - i enjoyed the ride
we had 2 armed guards with us, which made us feel quite important. we were actually a very short distance from the nile, but felt like we were out in the desert.
