the nubian population were moved to this island near Aswan when Lake Nasser flooded their original homes - when the AswanDam was built. they paint their homes yellow,white, purple so at night they can find their way home. the moonlight on those colours causes a fluro affect - they've done this for ?thousands of years.
this was a very very hot day, and walking up a hill over that hot sand was really fun. lots of water on the way
